Description
Rigol MSO8104 – 4 Channel / 1 GHz Digital Oscilloscope
MSO8000 series digital oscilloscope
1 GHz bandwidth
4 analog channels
16 digital channels (requires optional logic probe)
Rigol’s new MSO8000 is a high performance digital oscilloscope based on its proprietary ASIC chip and UltraVision II platform. Integrating 7 independent instruments into 1, the MSO8000 features analog bandwidth upgradable to 2 GHz, extremely high memory depth of 500 Mpts, sound waveform display effects, excellent waveform capture rate, and powerful data analysis functions. Many of its specifications are equal to top competitors in the industry.
ASIC Chip and UltraVision II Deliver Uncompromised Performance at an Affordable Price
The MSO8000 uses Rigol’s proprietary “Phoenix” chipset, with a data acquisition capability of up to 10 GSa/s, and the power to integrate all of the functions modules in the analog front end (AFE). Phoenix greatly improves the consistency and reliability of the MSO8000, with extraordinary performance in the most demanding applications.
The UltraVision II platform features a higher waveform capture rate, full digital trigger technology, and full memory hardware measurement technology. The MSO8000 also integrates multiple instruments into one, including an MSO, arbitrary waveform generator, protocol analyzer and much more.
Excellent Bandwidth and Sample Rate Make the Eye Diagram Pre-Test Easy
With the MSO8000-JITTER option, the MSO8000 oscilloscope will support real time eye diagram and jitter analysis functions.
Based on its excellent bandwidth and sample rate, the MSO8000 provides a real time eye plot and measurement with its clock recovery function. In the digital signal world, the eye measurement function can be used to better observe the transmission quality of a digital signal and understand the strong and weak Inter-Symbol Interference in the system. For users needing to frequently make qualitative tests and verification of electronic devices, high speed or serial digital signals, the eye measurement function of the MSO8000 is extremely useful.
The MSO8000 supports eye measurement for all of the analog channels, as well as provides measurement for several parameters of the eye diagram: eye height, eye width, eye amplitude, crossing percentage and Q Factor. It also supports various clock recovery methods, such as constant clock, (auto, semi-auto, manual), first order PPL, second order PPL, and explicit clock to meet the needs of customers in different applications.
Visualize Signal Integrity with Advanced Jitter and Real Time Eye Measurements
Jitter analysis and real time eye measurement and have become common debugging methods for signal integrity. The MSO8000 series oscilloscope not only provides the eye measurement function, but also offers flexible and convenient jitter measurement and analysis, enabling users to accurately and quickly make deterministic jitter measurement for serial clock and parallel bus signals.
Jitter analysis is mainly used to measure and analyze clock jitter. The MSO8000 can be used to analyze the following areas: TIE, cycle to cycle, +width to +width, -width to -width. TIE is the most commonly used jitter specification.
Easily upgradeable with software
Many features of the MSO8000 are easily upgraded. Upon leaving the factory, the MSO8000 is equipped with hardware for logic analysis, arbitrary waveform generation and bandwidth of up to 2 GHz. Bandwidth upgrades and the waveform generator are simply unlocked with a software keycode. To activate the 16 channel logic analyzer, only the optional RPL2316 logic probe is required.
