The American Lubell LL916C-025 piston piezoelectric underwater speaker handles maximum voltage of 25 Vrms or 3.5A (whichever comes first) and produces sound levels up to 182dB/uPa/m @ 1 kHz. The LL916C-IE can be installed in fresh or salt water from 6 feet to 60 feet deep using the cage’s 4-bolt flange**. The cage also provides extra protection for sensitive internal electronics from damage in rough seas.
The LL916C-025 hydroacoustic transducer is typically used with a Lubell model AC205B transformer box. A good arrangement for port defense or invasive species expulsion is to connect four LL916C-IE loudspeakers (via four custom-length IE2M-7/16-XX cable assemblies and four AC205B transformer boxes) to a single Samson Servo 300 amplifier . (Two per channel, amplifier set to STEREO mode.) Up to four amplifiers and 16 connected LL916C-IE loudspeakers can be connected to standard 120V 20A GFCI protected electrical service, creating coverage the length of a football field.
