Catphan® Accessories

Annuli
Catphan® annuli are cast from uniformity material. Annuli are available in a variety of round and oval sizes and mimic the attenuation of patients and their effect on image quality. All annuli are designed to be slipped over 20cm OD Catphan® phantoms.
Dose Phantoms
The Dose Phantoms are manufactured to comply with the US government’s Center for Device and Regulatory Health (CDRH) dose phantom specifications. The specifications outline two different sized phantoms, a 16cm diameter phantom for head dose evaluations and a 32cm diameter phantom for body dose evaluation.
CTP553 16cm Head Dose Phantom: The 16cm Dose Phantom is constructed out of acrylic. 13mm (1/2”) holes are bored into the phantom providing cavities for any appropriately sized CT dose probes. The phantom is supplied with 4 blank acrylic rods to be placed in the holes not used for the dose measurement. For ease of use, a case mount has been added to the phantom. This enables the phantom to be mounted on the standard Catphan® case. The dose phantom is supplied with a wooden carrying case.
CTP554 32cm Body Dose Phantom: The 32cm Dose Phantom is constructed out of acrylic. 13mm (1/2”) holes are bored into the phantom providing cavities for any appropriately sized CT dose probes. The phantom is supplied with 4 blank acrylic rods to be placed in the holes not used for the dose measurement. For ease of use, a case mount has been added to the phantom. This enables the phantom to be mounted on the standard Catphan® case. The dose phantom is supplied with a wooden carrying case.
16cm Diameter Housing
CTP541 16cm Catphan® Housing: The 16cm Catphan® housing is supplied with a Catphan® mounting bracket enabling it to be mounted off the standard Catphan® carrying case. The housing is cast from a urethane material with a CT number of 0H±5H. The 16cm housing only has 13.5cm of internal capacity in contrast to the 20cm diameter Catphan® housing which has 17.5cm of internal capacity. Due to the smaller capacity of the 16cm housing the modules contained in a Catphan® 500, 412 or 424 will not all fit in the 16cm housing at the same time.
