The Instek MDO-2000A is an advanced version of the MDO-2000E oscilloscope. It features 2 analog channels and a bandwidth of 100, 200 or 300 MHz. All models offer the function of both an oscilloscope and spectrum analyzer. In addition, the MDO-2000AG models also contain a dual channel, 25 MHz arbitrary waveform generator.

The MDO-2000A has been upgraded with a maximum sampling rate of 2 GSa/s and memory depth of 20M/ch.
Mixed domain
In addition to being an oscilloscope, the MDO-2000A series is also a dual-domain test platform. For frequency domain analysis, a spectrum analyzer measurement mode is provided to allow users to have frequency domain analysis with higher resolution. The frequency domain provided by MDO-2000A has an operation interface the same as a general spectrum analyzer, while its fast frequency domain update is similar to units which operate in real time.

The MDO-2000A’s spectrum analyzer’s frequency measurement range is from DC to 1GHz, meeting the requirements for low frequency tests of audio and vibration. The general spectrum analyzer cannot measure the signals below 9kHz, and has a maximum frequency of 1GHz.

The MDO-2000A oscilloscope enables users to easily observe in rush signals and rare transient wave forms to increase debugging efficiency. With an update rate of 120,000 wfm/s, and VPO technology, the MDO-2000A provides a more natural and genuine signal effect which is very close to the original analog source.
I2C, UART, CAN, LIN

The MDO-2000A provides serial bus analysis with 20M long memory depth. Users can trigger, decode,and analyze I2C and UART serial bus, as well as CAN/LIN bus, which is often used by automotive communications.
Waveform search function

Users can rapidly search desired wave forms according to the trigger condition, including Edge, pulse width, Runt, Rise/Fall and Bus. The function allows users to conveniently complete a waveform search and save marks for rapid comparison and analysis.
Data log function

This enables users to observe waveform changes over long periods of time to ensure product reliability, as well as measure sporadically occurring signals. Record time can be set from 5 minutes to 1000 hours, with a minimum interval of 2 seconds. Data can be stored to USB, or a remote computer via LAN.
Segmented memory function
The segmented memory function enables users to select desired important signals for observation, while ignoring insignificant signals. Up to 29,000 segments can be selected, helping make pulse and inrush signals more easily identified.
25MHz Dual Channel AWG
Models in the series with part numbers ending in “AG” feature a built in, dual channel 25 MHz arbitrary waveform generator. It features 14 bits of vertical resolution,a sample rate of 200 MSa/s, 13 output wave forms, and AM/FM/FSK modulation and sweep functionality. Wave forms can be edited via PC, and recalled with the AWG function.
